FOUNDER

Melissa Giles serves as Founder and Events Director of Soulfrito:The Urban Latin Music Festival, the first and only event in the world of this kind. This self-motivated young visionary and entrepreneur attributes the inception of this burgeoning idea to her multicultural childhood experiences. Giles is regarded by industry peers as a pioneer for being the first to provide a platform of expression for Urban Latin music and its cultural lifestyle.

The Urban Latinos are the fastest growing Hispanic market in the U.S. worth over 300 billion dollars per year.  Giles views this cultural lifestyle to be at the stage where today’s mainstream Hip-hop was 30 years ago.  In 10 to 15 years, she expects this growing segment to become as mainstream as its Anglo influencer. more
